A
schedule of some of the fees charged is given below. The fees will be kept under
constant review.
Tuition fees
The university’s fees are quoted in both the United States dollars and
the Zimbabwe currency. Zimbabwe students may pay their fees in either currency.
International students are required to pay their fees in foreign currency by
the Department of Immigration Control, which is the authority responsible for
issuance of study permits.
Tuition
fees are payable in advance beginning of each semester. Students may apply to
pay tuition fees by instalment and if such application is granted an instalment
fee charge as determined by the University from time to time will be levied.
Students
on attachment are not exempt from paying tuition fees.
Occasional
and audit fees
Any person who registers as an occasional student and or is granted permission
to take audit courses shall pay fees as determined by the University from time
to time.
Accommodation
fees.
University accommodation is optional and is offered on first come first served
basis per semester at a fee determined by the University from time to time.
The accommodation is offered on the basis of triple and double occupancy per
room for undergraduate and graduate students respectively.
DEPOSITS Caution money
All students will be required to pay an initial deposit as determined on a yearly
basis by the University. The deposit will be maintained at that amount by the
addition to their accounts of a sum equivalent to the cost of the damages caused
or of debts incurred by them. Any balance of the deposit will be refunded after
completion of a clearance form signed by all the relevant departments.
Halls
of residence key deposit
All students staying in the halls of residence will be required to pay an initial
deposit as determined on a yearly basis by the University. The deposit will
be maintained at that amount by the addition to their accounts of a sum equivalent

Laboratory
fee.
All students having access to the University laboratories and equipment will
be required to pay a fee as determined by the University.
Technology
fee
All full-time students pay the fee for the use of computers.
Students’
union subscription
Each full-time student is required to pay a subscription fee to the Student
Union.
Students’
health insurance
This is compulsory for all full time students.
Application
fees
The appropriate fee as determined by the University from time to time must accompany
any application for admissions into University programmes.
Registration
fee
This is payable on registration every semesters by all students.
Late
registration fee
Any student who registers after the specified day of registration but within
the first five days of the commencement of classes shall pay a late registration
fee, which shall be determined from time to time by the University.
Late
late registration fee
Any student who registers for a given semester after 5 days of commencement
of classes will be charged a late late registration fee plus a fee for each
day.
Supplementary
examination fee
Any student sitting for a supplementary examination shall be required to pay
a fee as determined by the University from time to time.
Study
permit fee
International students are required to pay an annual fee in United States
dollars to the Department of Immigration and Control for processing
a study permit. The current fee is US$ 200.00
Academic
transcript
At graduation, each student shall be issued free of charge with a transcript.
Each copy thereafter will be charged as determined by the University on a yearly
basis.
Appeal
fee
Any student who disputes Senate decision on his/her results has a right to appeal
to the chairman of Senate. Such an appeal will be entertained on the basis payment
of a fee.
Attachment
fee
All students on attachment will be required to pay for their own expenses.
Canteen
The University runs a canteen on a pay as you eat basis. Students on full scholarships
will be issued with meal cards. No refunds shall be made in cash to students
on full scholarships in lieu of meals canteen. It is estimated that meals for
a student for the whole year is USD2 100.00. While the amount required
for meals will vary from student to student depending on the number of courses
taken, the figure given should be a guide.
