Research Activities

Professor John W.Z. Kurewa

  • Worked on a 200 paged manuscript which is in the hands Mambo Press: "Drums of Salvation: A Study of Biblical and Theological Bases of the Ministry of Evangelism."
  • Working on: "A series: Know your church" for United Methodists in Zimbabwe.Still exploring ways for publishing.
  • Launched "two-by-two lay visitation evangelism" programme.The workshops are being conducted in local churches and circuits.The pilot workshop was succesfully conducted at Tsvingwe United Methodist Church (Zimbabwe,Mutare) on the 18th and 19th of February 2005
  • Prof. Kurewa wrote a book entitled Drumbeats of Salvation in Africa: A Study of Biblical, Historical and Theological Foundations for the Ministry of Evangelism, 2007.

Dr James F. Ndyabahika

  • Sent an article to Wheaton for publication. The title of the article is "The Teaching of the British Evangelical Missionaries and the Theology of East African Revival (Uganda): A New Paradigm."
  • Working on an article on "Biblical Economy, Wealth and Poverty Challenge to the Great Lakes Region - Africa"
  • Compiling a booklet on Research methods title: "An Introduction to Research Methodology".
  • 3. Prof. Ndyabahika wrote an article entitled “Biblical Economy, Wealth and Poverty: A Challenge to the Great Lakes Region of East Africa,” Journal of Theology and Ministry, vol 7 (2007).

Mr David Bishau

  • Working on PhD dissertation which is almost ready for submission
  • Working on two book titled: "Introduction to Old Testament Prophesy" and "Paul the Apocalyptic Chistian Theologian: Case Studies from Romans."
  • Working on an article for piblication titled: "The Wondering People of God Motif in Hebrews."

Dr Beauty Maenzanise

  • Investigating ways of incooperating some forms of African Traditional Religious Practices in the Worshiping Paterns of the Zimbabwean United Methodist Church.
  • Dr. B. Maenzanise wrote two articles: a. “The Church and Zimbabwe’s Liberation Struggle,” Methodist History, vol XLVI, No 2 (Jan 2008) 68-86.

b. “A View From Zimbabwe,” Circuitrider: Shaping Our Global Future (Feb/Mar/April 2008) 36-37.
