Short Course in Trauma Counseling Advert

Africa University is running a series of short courses in Trauma Counseling in June and July 2010. Admission to the program will be on a first come first served basis.

Target group
The following people will benefit from the course:

• Professionals who work with trauma victims, survivors of abuse, violence, war, accidents, crime and disaster
• Qualified professionals who want to enhance their knowledge in counseling eg teachers, nurses, social workers, pastors, medical practitioners and other helping professionals
• NGO personnel,
• Youth workers
• Welfare officers
  

Course duration
The short course will run for two weeks.

Dates 28 June to 9 July 1 st intake
19 July to 30 July 2nd intake

NB 30 students will be admitted for each intake

Evaluation
Evaluation of students will be based on their performance on theoretical and practical examinations.

Certification
Participants will receive a certificate of competence from Africa University.
