Board welcomes new members

The Africa University Board of Directors welcomed two new members at its Nov. 29 - Dec. 1 meeting. The two, Ms. Lenora Thompson, a management training and program development specialist and former conference lay leader for the Eastern Pennsylvannia Conference; and Dr. Johnnetta Cole, the recently-retired president of Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina and a leading expert on higher education administration. They were both appointed to serve by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church.

The University’s director of development, Rev. Lloyd Rollins (light jacket, photo left) was back on campus in mid-November leading a familiarization visit by persons from the Louisiana, Texas, Northern Virginia and Georgia Conferences. The visit allowed members to interact with the campus community and congregations in the Zimbabwe area and gather material to support various major campaigns for AU.
