Mississippi VIM team on campus

A 10-person Volunteers in Mission team from the Mississippi
Conference is visiting Zimbabwe from 23 September to 5
October.
The team is led by Rebecca Youngblood and consists of
seven pastors, two laypersons, a teacher and a lawyer. Its
members are in the country to learn more about the work of
Africa University and the Zimbabwe Episcopal Area.
Mississippi churches are part of the Zimbabwe Area’s
Chabadza Covenant, a strategic program that invites
congregations and individuals to journey together in
ministry.
Team members brought medicines and supplies which
were donated to the Epworth Clinic in Harare. They are
assisting at the Fairfield Children’s Home at the Old Mutare
Mission and will visit the Ishe Anesu project and other
ministries located at Hilltop UMC in the Sakubva area of
Mutare.
This is the first of three VIM teams that will be on campus
between September and December. Morris and Ann Taber
are leading a 30+-person team from 5-19 November. Veteran
work team leader Tom Clark of West Virginia is organising a small
team for 7-14 November.
