Fellow awardee Markbar Chikono said he was humbled to have been recognized when there are some many more senior and experienced library professionals in contention.
“I feel motivated,” said Chikomo. “It shows that people appreciate my efforts...I am grateful to the sponsors for the basic commodities I received.” The University’s Worker of the Month award process allows students, staff and faculty to vote for a worker in a particular unit that they feel has demonstrated superior performance and customer service. Over the course of the
year, every major unit of the University has the opportunity to have its staff members considered for recognition.
