Africa is the richest continent on the planet, with 40% of the planet's natural resources but receives 90% of donor funding in circulation around the world. This is the result of inadequate mobilization of the continent's resources to aid in the betterment of its populous. In the last couple of years, Africa has developed from a war-torn continent to a more peaceful one. This has seen corporate Africa becoming a bigger player in the world market as one of the largest emerging markets in the world and allowing Africa to better influence its own resource management.

However, though Corporate Africa has seen such change, no engine was, as yet, in place to assist corporate Africa with the mobilization of these resources to assist in the improvement of the livelihoods and standard of living of it fellow African residence, especially as regards issues of humanitarian responsibility which is a major concern on our continent.

There is therefore a need. Africa needs a commercially viable engine that is accountable to Corporate Africa for the mobilization of resources for the funding of African need groups.

Elbow is the first such initiative in Africa with the intention to allow Corporate Africa and the World to fund African need groups, specifically as regards medical development goals four, five and six which are fundamental to the continent. The Elbow Project is a publicity engine that will use all the funds from its activities to do publications for the purpose of educating the populous on addressing issues falling under the medical development goals four, five and six.

The Elbow Project (Elbow) is a publicity engine that has been set up as a tool to allow Corporate Africa and the world to contribute to the address of millennium development goals four, five and six in Africa. Elbow has been set up to operate as a financially viable publicity engine. Elbow will do publications and using this website as an educational tool addressing medical developmental goals four, five and six. The publications and website will also be used as a publicity tool by our partners who will be contributing to the activities of the engine for the purpose of extension of the activities of the project as well as in addressing their corporate social responsibilities.

All funds made from Elbow's activities will be used directly to partner with initiatives of Non-governmental Organizations (NGO's) in the identified countries needing aid. In the situation that no organizations are already in operation, Elbow will fund the set up and support of any such NGO's as is determined to be necessary.
